On Saturday, September 28, 2013 The Stochastic Orchestra gave a wonder performance to the Custer members and guests that attending this concert as part of the continuing Folk Series!

Their music was a blending of traditional folk music from America and the English Isles. This ensemble created a musical mosaic of Irish and English shanties, Bluegrass and Appalachian themes. They even enlisted the audience to sing along! A great time was had by all!
The instrumentalists were Justine Haupt on Fiddle and Concertina, Sean McCorkle on hammered Dulcimer, Cindy Salwen on Flute and Peter Siddons on Guitar and Banjo. (Watch the video at the end!)

"Evening Under the Stars"

Tom Madigan hosted the second annual "Evening Under the Stars" at Patchogue's scenic Shorefront Park, overlooking Patchogue Bay. Although the weather did not cooperate Tom did a great presentation on the night sky. David Barnett, Steve Bellavia, Bill Crispino and Justine Haupt were on hand to talk about and/or demonstrate their telescopes to visitors and of course I was also there!
