October 17 - 19, 2014

The second day of the Astronomy Jamboree was held at the Suffolk County Community College - eastern campus in Riverhead, NY until 5pm. Afterwards the festivities moved to the Custer Observatory for a Dinner Buffet, Lectures and Stargazing.

ABOUT THIS YEARS ASTRONOMY JAMBOREE

Every year Custer Observatory (Southold, NY) hosts a weekend of astronomy lectures, stargazing, and friendship. 2014 marks the 36th year of the Jamboree and this year we will have a special screening of the film Particle Fever, hosted by Stony Brook University's Simons Center. We're also adding topics in radio astronomy which I think is an exciting change that will offer a unique opportunity for those interested in this little-understood but very interesting area of science.

On Saturday, October 26, the Custer Observatory held the second day of their 35th Annual Astronomy Jamboree at the eastern campus of the Suffolk County Community College in Riverhead. There were Lectures, Planetarium Shows, Solar Observing and a Raffle.
